| Eliso Chabrava ( Georgia) received her law degree from the Ivane Javakhishvili State University in Tbilisi, Georgia in 2003. She is currently the head of the Legal Department at Ilia Chavchavadze State University. She has been active in the Georgian Young Lawyers Association and other law reform groups in Georgia and has co-authored a number of studies on law and human rights in Georgia. Eliso plans to continue to contribute to the process of legal reform in her country after receiving her LL.M. |

| Masauko Chamkakala (Malawi) received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Malawi Chancellor College in 2003. He went on to receive a Masters degree in Women’s Law in 2006 from the University of Zimbabwe. He is currently legal counsel for the Malawi National Assembly. In that position he provides legal advice to the Speaker and Clerk of Parliament and its members including information on proposed legislation. Upon completing the LL.M. program, he plans to return to the Malawi National Assembly and help improve the process of law reform and parliamentary governance. |

| Selcan Mammadli( Azerbaijan) received her LL.B. from the Baku State University in Azerbaijan in 2001 and an LL.M. in criminal law, criminal proceeding and crime detection from the same university in 2003. Currently she is the Program Director and Senior Staff Attorney for the Legal Advocacy Center of American Bar Association Baku Office (ABA- CEELI). Prior to joining the ABA-CEELI project she worked for ADISAD Law Company, the National Center for Sate Courts, the Azerbaijani Legal Database Program, and a youth educational project on environmental law. Upon completion of the LL.M. program she hopes to make a significant contribution to the successful implementation of the rule of law in Azerbaijan. |

| Janice Misoi ( Kenya) graduated from Moi University in Kenya in 2004 and signed the Roll of Advocates in July 2006. She is currently working for the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights as a Human Rights Officer in the Complaints and Investigation Department. She conducts investigations as well as litigates on behalf of human rights victims. Upon completion of the program she plans to be part of the Kenyan team working on reforms in the governance, constitutional and human rights spheres. |

| John Magoti (Tanzania) received his law degree from Makerere University in Uganda in 2001. He currently works as a special consular assistant at the United States Embassy in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. He also works with the non-governmental organization Law Consult, which focuses on law reform and provides pro-bono legal services to women and children in Tanzania. He formerly worked for Celtel Tanzania Limited as a Legal officer. He has been an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania since 2004. Upon graduation he plans to assist the public in examining the barriers to good governance and reforming Tanzanian laws. |

Julius P.K. Mugisha ( Rwanda) received his Law degree from the National University of Rwanda and a Masters degree in Comparative Law from McGill University (Canada). He was Assistant Lecturer of Law at the National University of Rwanda where he also worked at the legal aid clinic. Upon completion of his LL.M he plans to return to Rwanda and help his country in its on-going transition to democratic governance and rule of law.

| Liridon Shurdhani (Kosova) graduated from the University of Prishtinë in Kosova in 2006. He is currently the volunteer executive director of the Kosova Young Lawyers non-governmental organization while working for the IPKO Telecommunications - LLC as Legal Adviser. During 2006 and 2007 he was actively involved with the Kosova Rehabilitation Center for Torture Victims as a legal advisor and Head of the Human Rights and Advocacy Section. Upon completion of the program Mr. Shurdhani hopes to contribute to judicial reform in Kosova. |

| Valëza Oruqi(Kosova) graduated from the University of Prishtinë in 2006. She currently works for the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) as a National Human Rights Legal Advisor. Previously, she has been engaged in a variety of law reform projects, such as the "Establishment of a Comprehensive Legal Aid System in Kosova" and "Institutional Building of the Kosova Judicial Institute," both EU-funded projects, managed by European Agency for Reconstruction. Upon completion of the Program, she plans to become involved in the ongoing process of reforming the judicial system in Kosova. |

| Urgessa Tura ( Ethiopia) received his Bachelor of Laws in 2001 from the Law Faculty of Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. Since 2004 he has been Head of the Department of Legal Research and Training at the Supreme Court of Oromia (Oromia is one of 9 national regional states in Ethiopia). He has also been serving as a board member of the Oromia Judicial Training Institute, member of the Justice System Reform regional Steering Committee, a national trainer of judges and prosecutors in Ethiopia and coordinator of the court reform project in the Supreme Court of Oromia. Upon graduation he plans to continue his efforts to encourage judicial reform in the Supreme Court of Oromia and to support improved governance and rule of law in Oromia National Regional State. |
